LOUIS XVI – STYLE TABLE
Lithuanian Art Museum Pranas Gudynas Restoration Centre
The exclusive table stored in the Lithuanian Art Museum was supposedly produced in the first half of the 19th century in France. The table is 91 cm high, 77 cm wide and 156 cm long. Tabletop is decorated with sublime wood species, hardware, ivory decor elements. Fragments of missing brass, white metal and carvings were restored. The fragment of burned tabletop frame was fixed. Missing edgings of a drawer and worktop were carved of solid walnut wood. According to the analogues, the lower leg connection was produced. The whole table was covered with a shellac polish.
